Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Jeremy Vega (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Finn Vanhougen (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Vanhougen comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Alter Bridge - I know it hurts kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

The judges for this bout are Richard Clark, Daniel Bishop and James Glass.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Vanhougen changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Vega tries to avoid it but Vanhougen manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Vega to the ground. Vega escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Vega looks to land a right hand but Vanhougen moved out of range.
Vanhougen shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Vega sprawls well. Vega wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Vanhougen gets slowly back to his feet.
Finn Vanhougen seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Vanhougen wants to clinch but Vega slips to the side
and Vega counters with a nice body shot.
Vega connects with a body shot.
Vanhougen shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Vega but Vega pushes him off and we're back to square one.

Vanhougen is looking to break free of the clinch but Vega has double underhooks.
Vanhougen is trying to drag Vega to the mat but Vega just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there.

Vega makes some space for himself and lands an uppercut.
Vanhougen wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.

Vanhougen misses the knee to the body. Nice hip positioning from Vega.

Vega lands a nice looking hook to the body, against the cage.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
