PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Toni Kuivanen (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ken Shamrock (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Kuivanen has a slight injury, which hopefully won't affect the fight too much. Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Shamrock shoots in and gets a takedown into Kuivanen's guard.
The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup.
Shamrock passes easily into side control. Nice work.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Kuivanen wants to control but Shamrock postures up.
Kuivanen is breathing heavily.

Shamrock has hold of Kuivanen's arm here. He's working for an Americana. It looks like he might have it! Kuivanen tries to escape but he's just digging himself in deeper - Shamrock cranks the arm and Kuivanen screams in pain! The ref makes a decision and ends the fight before the tap - no complains from Kuivanen, who is just happy to have his arm attached to his body.
