The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Monteiro gets caught napping as Kamara dives in and scores a takedown. Monteiro manages to retain guard.
The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up.

Kamara thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.

Kamara drops back looking for a leg! Monteiro is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Monteiro manages to kick Kamara off! Kamara jumps back into Monteiro's guard.

Monteiro is edging up against the cage. He's using the cage to get back to his feet. Nice work there - the fighters are clinched.
Kamara wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.

Kamara wants to take the fight to the mat but Monteiro manages to get underhooks and keep the fight in the clinch.
Monteiro is stalling here. The referee will be looking to step in if he doesn't pick up the pace.

Monteiro breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Monteiro misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Kamara.
Monteiro ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Kamara moves away.
Monteiro connects with a looping right hand.
Kamara shoots in and drives through. Monteiro sprawls well.
William Monteiro has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Chris Kamara.
Monteiro rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Kamara moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Kamara shoots for a double leg takedown but Monteiro sprawls well. He's pushed Kamara's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Kamara shoots in but no luck this time.

Kamara shoots in looking for a takedown. Monteiro tries to sprawl out of it but Kamara keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Monteiro manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Monteiro throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Kamara sees it coming and avoids it easily.

Kamara closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Monteiro to the mat! Monteiro manages to get full guard.
Monteiro wants to stand but Kamara is controlling the position.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

Kamara drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Kamara jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

Monteiro is looking to escape.

Kamara maintaining the dominant position here and is working for a kimura. He's locked it up! Monteiro could be in real trouble here! He's trying to wriggle out but Kamara has cracked it and Monteiro is screaming in pain - he's tapped out! Great finish by Kamara!
