Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Ken Shamrock!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Derek Storey!
The judges for this bout are Cecil Peabody, Tiny Johnson and George Francis.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Storey throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Shamrock stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.

Shamrock gets the takedown into side control.
The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace.
Shamrock wants to control but Storey is keeping him busy.
Storey tries to improve position but can't.
Shamrock is maintaining the dominant position - no doubt Storey will start to get frustrated soon if he's not already.
Sloppy strikes there by Shamrock.
Shamrock lands a knee to the body and a forearm to the face.
Storey is holding Shamrock down, trying to stall.
Shamrock happy to just control the position for now.
Storey tries to bench press Shamrock off him but Shamrock keeps the position.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Shamrock wants to stand but Storey is controlling his arm.

The ref stands the fighters back up because Ken Shamrock just wasn't active enough.

Shamrock closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Storey to the mat! Storey manages to get full guard.
This has been an exciting period of action!

Shamrock stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Storey swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Shamrock throws a big elbow that misses.

Storey escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Shamrock gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Storey working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Shamrock doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Shamrock manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
Storey can't keep his opponent in guard - Shamrock advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount.

Storey moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Storey is trying to control the position from the bottom.
Shamrock knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Storey on the ground.

Storey looking for subs off his back but Shamrock has passed one foot through into half guard.
Storey is looking to control Shamrock's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Storey avoid being mounted?
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Storey might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Shamrock haven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time.

A close round but Derek Storey will probably get the nod.
That's time! Shamrock's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.

Shamrock pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Shamrock shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Storey as he avoids it easily.
Storey lands with a nice body punch.
Shamrock walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head.
Storey lands a nice looking body shot.
Storey slips in close and lands a nice hook before moving back out of range.

Derek Storey seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
A jab lands there for Storey.

Shamrock has Storey up against the cage in a clinch.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Storey lands a right uppercut that snaps the head of Shamrock backwards.
Storey lands a body punch.
The pace slowing considerably in the clinch, as Storey takes a break from that fighting nonsense to think about the finer things in life.

Storey trying to stall but Shamrock improves his position.
Storey lands a hook to the side of the head.
Storey leaning against his opponent.
Storey tried to land a shot to the body but connects with Shamrock's elbow.
Storey misses with a shot to the kidneys.
Shamrock has Storey pressed against the cage, preventing Storey from circling away and getting back to striking at range.
Shamrock is trying to pull guard but Storey has him pressed against the cage.

Shamrock jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Storey walks away with a smile on his face. Shamrock gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Ken Shamrock. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Storey throws a low kick but Shamrock moves out of range easily.

Nice uppercut lands for Storey. That snapped Shamrock's head back.
Shamrock is pinned up against the cage taking some big shots here. The referee is looking closely deciding whether he should stop the fight.

Oh Shamrock is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Both fighters circle each other, looking for something big. Storey moves in and throws an overhand right. That hurt Shamrock! Storey continues to tee off on Shamrock, landing with a left and a right! Storey connects with a right hand that leaves Shamrock sleeping against the cage! What a finish by Storey!
