Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Lamont Banner (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Dongmin Oh (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 12 - 6 - 1, fighting out of St Petersburg, Lamont Banner!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 17 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Dongmin Oh!
The judges for this bout are Fedor Mirinova, Dmitry Maklakov and Sergei Dronov.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Oh scores with a kick to the midsection.
Oh lands a head kick!


It looks like Lamont Banner has been cut.
Banner on the receiving end of a decent leg kick there by Oh. Oh obviously looking to wear him down.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Banner fakes a jab and then connects with a hook.
Banner takes a step back and watches a body kick go sailing past his mid section.
Oh tries to close the distance and clinch up but Banner swats him away and circles back towards the center.

Banner shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Oh napping and manages to drive through into side control!
Banner wants to lay and pray for a moment but Oh keeps working.

Banner is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Oh is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.
Banner tries to advance to mount but Oh denies him.

Banner has knee on belly and now moves to full mount! Trouble for Oh!
Banner is looking to work his way around to Oh's back. He needs to be careful though, as he's in danger of losing this dominant position.
Oh is squirming around, avoiding Banner's attempts to control the action.

Banner looking to secure an arm triangle but Oh defends it well.
Banner looking to control but Oh is working nicely, looking to advance position himself.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Banner looking to take Oh's back but Oh rolls and after a scramble, Oh ends up on top in guard. Nice escape there from Oh to escape a tricky position.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that Lamont Banner will probably get the nod.

Oh takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch.
Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from Oh.
Oh on the wrong end of a vicious looking body shot.

Oh moves into the clinch.
Banner keeps control of Oh as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks.
Oh working aggressively here.
A nice right hand lands inside from Banner.
Banner is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Oh pulls him back up using the underhooks.
Oh gets through Banner's defenses to land a nice punch to the side of the head.
Oh throws a punch but it's blocked by Banner.

Oh digs a right hand into Banner's ribs. Those have got to be taking their toll on Banner's gas tank.

Banner jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Oh walks away with a smile on his face. Banner gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.

Oh is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
Banner lands with an uppercut that bounces Oh off the cage and back into range.
Oh avoids a kick to the body.

Banner is looking to control Oh's arms but Oh gets an underhook and turns him. Now Banner has his back to the cage.

Dongmin Oh seems to be working more effectively in the clinch in the fight so far.
Oh fails to land with a short punch on the inside.
Oh tries to throw a body punch but Banner avoids it by throwing Oh back against the cage.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

Dongmin Oh showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

Banner walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head.

Banner fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
Oh fakes a head shot and lands one to the body.
Dongmin Oh seems to be getting the better of the standup.
Oh lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh.
Good leg kick by Oh there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.
Banner digs a good hook to Oh's body.
Banner fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Oh manages to avoid it.
Banner misses with the combination.
Oh moves out of range of the strikes.
Oh lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh.

Banner on the wrong end of an overhand right that came out of nowhere.
Banner tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Oh swivels and escapes.

Oh uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Banner.
Oh slaps away a takedown attempt from Banner, before circling back to the center of the mat.
Banner avoids the head kick by Oh.
Oh throws a leg kick which misses Banner's front leg but catches the back leg as Banner tries to avoid it.

Oh cracks Banner with a big right hand that sends him to the floor! Banner looks wobbly but he's sprung back up to his feet straight away… can Oh finish him?

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Oh Banner is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Oh lands a brutal uppercut that launches Banner off his feet! Banner tumbles to the floor, barely conscious - the referee jumps in to save him from a beating! Wow, what an ending!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:53 of round 3, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Dongmin Oh!
Dongmin Oh spent the whole post fight interview bigging himself up. It didn't go down that well with the fans after a while as they thought it was a bit arrogant.
