This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Goodnight Irene's cut is bleeding quite badly. He's got to try and protect it.
Irene throws a low kick, looking for Gump's leg but Gump calmly moves out of range.
Gump bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Irene's head backwards.

Jeez, Goodnight Irene's cut is really nasty now. The referee must be thinking about getting that checked.

Irene's jab looks to have found its range, popping Gump under the eye.
Irene uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Gump.
Irene takes a swing at Gump's ribcage but misses.
Gump has used his reach advantage pretty well so far tonight.
Gump thuds a left hand into Irene's body.

The referee calls the doctor in to look at Goodnight Irene's cut. Oh no, the doctor has called an end to the bout!

Forest Gump is the new heavyweight champion!
After the fight, Forest Gump was humble in paying tribute to his opponent but made it clear he wants to go on to bigger and better things. It seemed to go down well with the crowd who cheered him loudly.
