The judges for this bout are Stewart Dunkirk, Alan Glass and Gwen Towbar.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Vennamo throws a series of punches but Figgs moves out of range.
Figgs throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Vennamo.
Figgs dips down and scores with a jab to the body.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Vennamo lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.

and Vennamo counters with a left and a right that stings Figgs.

Figgs fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Vennamo avoids it really well and circles away.

Figgs looks up at the clock. Bad move! Vennamo lands a right hand from hell, dropping Figgs. Vennamo pounces and finishes the fight with a flurry of punches and elbows.

Heikki Vennamo tried to hype himself up post fight but didn't word it too well and it ended up with him sounding like a bit of a tool.
