The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Fist dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
Sloppy strikes from Kowalski. Those never looked like landing.
Fist throws a body punch but Kowalski moves out of range.
Kowalski throws a series of strikes that have Fist backpedaling.

It looks like Jack Fist has been cut.
Fist throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Kowalski dodges the punch combination from Fist.
Nice sprawl there from Kowalski as Fist shoots in.
Kowalski lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Fist circles away quickly and effectively.
Fist misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Kowalski looks to land a combination but Fist avoids it well.
Kowalski moves away from the strike by Fist.
Fist tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Fist misses with a double jab.
Fist fails to land with a series of punches.

Kowalski shoots in looking for a takedown. Fist tries to sprawl out of it but Kowalski keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Fist manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Fist throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Fist slips a jab and a cross from Kowalski.
Fist fakes a jab and then connects with a hook.
Kowalski avoids a punch combination nicely.
Fist pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Kowalski takes a shot right to the bread basket.
Kowalski shoots in for a takedown but Fist shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Kowalski.
Jack Fist has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Shawn Kowalski.

Nice straight punches there by Kowalski. You know Roy Jones Jr respects the hands of Kowalski.

Kowalski breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.

Kowalski tries to keep at a distance but Fist has taken the fight into the clinch.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Kowalski throws a blind hook that connects with the side of Fists head.

Fist punishes Kowalski's body with a nice straight punch.

Fist throws a head kick but Kowalski moves out of range.
Fist throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd.
Fist works the jab nicely.
Fist misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Kowalski.
Fist tries a head kick but it misses.
Fist throws a series of punches but Kowalski avoids them all with ease.

Kowalski is on the wrong end of a nice combination from Fist.
Kowalski shoots in but Fist avoids the takedown attempt easily.
Kowalski looks shocked there as he takes a right hand to the temple.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Oooooh!!! Fist has knocked Kowalski down with a huge combo! Fist steps away and waves a wobbly Kowalski back to his feet! This one might not go much longer!

Kowalski slips a jab and a cross from Fist.
Kowalski is still on wobbly legs! Can Fist finish him?
Fist comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range.
Kowalski finds himself stumbling back on wobbly legs after being clipped by a right hand. He's up against the cage, ducking and weaving under Fist's strikes but an uppercut finds it's way through and Kowalski falls! - He's completely out of it and the ref jumps in to save him!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:15 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Jack Fist!
