Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Gray Pleman (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Paul Newman (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Newman has chosen Red Hot Chili Peppers - Can`t Stop as his entrance music. I can't wait for this one - let's get the fighter introductions out of the way and get this one started!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Newman throws a good cross that connects.
Newman throws a right hand that misses

and Pleman counters with a shoot takedown into half guard.
The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup.
Pleman throwing shots but Newman is blocking nicely.

Pleman looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
Newman is trying to stand up here but Pleman is controlling him well.
Pleman wants to control but Newman is keeping him busy.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Newman wants to get back to his feet.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Pleman is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there.
Pleman is trying to control. Newman wants to improve his position but can't escape this time.

Newman is defending against the submission attempts here by Pleman.
Pleman slips a nice elbow through Newman's hands, connecting with Newman's forehead.
Newman wants to get back to his feet.
Pleman looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Newman with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.
Newman looks like he's trying to stand up.
Newman is refusing to be controlled, as Pleman sits in half guard.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Pleman takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists.
Pleman drops an elbow to the side of Newman's head.

Pleman is working hard to pass the guard. He's done it - he's now in full mount! Trouble for Newman!

Pleman is giving the impression that he's looking to ground and pound but he switches suddenly into a beautiful far side armbar! Newman is forced to tap! Great finish!
