Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Renato Sobral (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Haydar Hede Hede (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Hede Hede shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Hede Hede showed some decent athleticism there.
Sobral preventing any damage for now, controlling his opponent's head.

Hede Hede is looking for a kimura but Sobral is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Hede Hede to get the leverage.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.

Hede Hede feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

Sobral drops down looking for an ankle pick but Hede Hede pulls his leg out and moves away.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Sobral thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas.

Sobral is taking a breather. Hede Hede says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.

Hede Hede wants to finish this one by submission but Sobral is holding onto his waist, trying to prevent any attacks from Hede Hede.

Sobral has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Hede Hede is working away from the top position though.
Sobral is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Hede Hede's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Hede Hede's back!
Sobral is throwing strikes from the back here. Oh that last one was to the back of the head. Sobral gets a warning from the referee. He throws another strike to the back of the head straight away though and the referee has seen enough. He breaks up the two fighters and stands them back up. Sobral gets a real talking to here and is lucky not to get a point deducted. Sobral apologises and we restart here on the feet.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Hede Hede misses with a takedown

and Sobral decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Hede Hede's guard.

Hede Hede working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Sobral doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Sobral manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
