Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Wyatt Earp (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Charles Bartowski (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Earp comes to the cage accompanied by WarPigs. Bartowski is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: The Game. Charles Bartowski has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Wyatt Earp!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Charles Bartowski!
The judges for this bout are Jeff Smith, Ryoma Takatsuka and Paul Gruel.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Earp throws a sloppy head kick

and Bartowski holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch.
A frustrated look appears on Earp's face as he tries to break the clinch.

Earp's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Earp's jab looks to have found its range, popping Bartowski under the eye.
Earp fails to land with a series of punches.
Bartowski looks to land a body kick but Earp moved away.
Earp throws a head kick that misses
and Bartowski counters with a leg kick.
Bartowski thumps Earp with a low kick.
Bartowski avoids a punch combination nicely.
Earp swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Earp throws a left and a right that both miss
and Bartowski counters with a flying knee. Nice.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Bartowski is defended easily by Earp.

No joy there for Earp, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Earp throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Bartowski.
Bartowski shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Earp as he avoids it easily.
Earp throws a lazy head kick
and Bartowski counters with a leg kick that reverborates around the arena.

Bartowski gets in close and instigates a clinch.
Earp tries to break the clinch but Bartowski is controlling the position.
Earp avoiding damage as Bartowski throws knees to the body.
Earp tries to circle away but Bartowski has him pinned against the cage.
Bartowski drops down looking for an ankle pick but Earp pulls his leg out and moves away.
Wyatt Earp has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Charles Bartowski.
Earp throws a head kick that misses.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Earp looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Bartowski dives in and grabs Earp's left leg, looking for a takedown. Earp pushes down on Bartowski's head and hops out.
Earp tries to bum rush Bartowski with a series of wild strikes but Bartowski uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
A decent looking body kick lands there for Bartowski.
Earp is breathing heavily.
Earp stuffs the takedown.
Bartowski shoots for a double leg takedown but Earp sprawls well. He's pushed Bartowski's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Bartowski fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Earp has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage.
Wyatt Earp seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Bartowski is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
Bartowski swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Earp misses with a hook
and Bartowski counters with a left and a right that stings Earp.

Earp looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Earp tries a head kick but it misses.
Bartowski dives in and grabs Earp's left leg, looking for a takedown. Earp pushes down on Bartowski's head and hops out.

Earp does a little shimmy and throws a leg kick. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy.
Bartowski tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.

Bartowski moves into the clinch.

Bartowski pulls guard successfully.
Bartowski throws some sloppy strikes off his back.
Bartowski looking to hit a scissor sweep but Earp is one step ahead there.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Bartowski trying to keep a closed guard but Earp is proving a slippery customer.

Earp has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Bartowski is proving hard to escape from.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Charles Bartowski dominated that round.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.


A punch combination from Earp misses.
Earp takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch.
Bartowski shoots in looking for a takedown. Earp tries to sprawl out of it but Bartowski keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Earp manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Earp displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Bartowski.
Earp misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Earp misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Bartowski.
Wyatt Earp has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Charles Bartowski.
Earp throws a right and a left that both miss.

Earp goes for a spinning back kick but it misses.
Earp throws a nice looking combination but Bartowski bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Bartowski uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Earp.
Earp waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Bartowski.
Earp lands with a cross.
Earp swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Wyatt Earp is winning the standup battle so far.
Earp throws a leg kick but he was too far away and it doesn't land.
Bartowski closes the distance and takes a jab right on the nose as he does so.
Earp lands a jab followed by a nice looking cross.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Earp throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and Bartowski makes the exchange count by landing a cracking kick to the body. Earp really felt that one!

Bartowski drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Bartowski pushes down on Earp's leg and manages to get into half guard.
Earp on the receiving end of some nice ground and pound.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Bartowski is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there.
Bartowski prevents Earp from standing back up.
Bartowski moves into full mount! Earp won't be happy about that!
Bartowski won't let Earp get back to his feet... He wants to keep the fight where it is for now.

Bartowski pausing momentarily but resumes with a couple of decent strikes that do a bit of damage.
Earp is trying to get to the cage to help him get back to his feet.

Bartowski is working on an americana here. Ooh, that looks pretty nasty! Nope, Earp has managed to escape the submission attempt.

Bartowski is going oldschool here, as he tries to force Earp to tap using a forearm choke. This isn't 1993 though, so Earp shrugs it off.

Bartowski wants to finish this one by submission but Earp is holding onto his waist, trying to prevent any attacks from Bartowski.

Earp is looking to get back to his feet - it's going to be hard from this position.

That's time! Earp's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. This is the final round!

Earp gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.
Bartowski looking to sit in guard and control but Earp gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.

Earp gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent.
Bartowski shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Earp but Earp pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Earp looks to land a left hand but Bartowski moved out of range nicely.
Bartowski shoots for a double leg takedown but Earp sprawls well. He's pushed Bartowski's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Earp jabs Bartowski right on the nose. Bartowski blinks but takes it well.
Wyatt Earp has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
Charles Bartowski is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight.
Earp misses with a two punch combination.

And that's the end of the fight!
That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Wyatt Earp.
I think Bartowski has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
