Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Frank The ripper (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Darian Gorman (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Frank The ripper!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Darian Gorman!
The judges for this bout are Ian Loll, Robert Douchet and Trevor Gratis.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
The ripper closes this distance looking for a takedown but Gorman circles away.
The ripper tries to close the distance and clinch but Gorman swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Gorman swats away the attempt to clinch by The ripper.
Gorman wants to clinch up but The ripper keeps it at a distance.
The ripper shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Gorman as he jumps to the side.
Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from The ripper.
Gorman throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
The ripper blocks a head kick by Gorman.
The ripper shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Gorman pinned against the cage. Gorman gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Frank The ripper. That's going to take a lot out of him.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

The ripper has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Gorman uses from the top position.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Gorman is trying to escape and get back to his feet.

enabling Gorman to counter with a crisp jab.
The ripper throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Gorman's waist but Gorman gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing The ripper off to one side.
The ripper shoots in for a double leg but Gorman sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
The fight stays on the outside here - Gorman looks like he's thinking about clinching though.

Gorman will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

A close second round but Darian Gorman will probably get the nod - 10:9.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.

The ripper is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

Darian Gorman comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Gorman has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
