Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Tor Pellinore (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Anderson Carvalho (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Pellinore comes into the arena with Game of Thrones blaring out of the sound system. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
6 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Tor Pellinore!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
9 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Anderson Carvalho!
The judges for this bout are Alexandre Firmino, Luis Engracia and Thiago Cunha.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Pellinore misses with a head kick.
Carvalho tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Pellinore swivels and escapes.
Carvalho fails with the takedown
and Pellinore counters with a good low kick that Carvalho was not able to check.
Pellinore connects nicely with a jab. Noted by the judges no doubt.
It looks like Anderson Carvalho has been cut.
A head kick misses from Pellinore.
Carvalho tries for a takedown but Pellinore circles away easily
and Pellinore counters with a head kick.
Tor Pellinore has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Anderson Carvalho.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Pellinore throws a body kick that sends a sickening thudding noise reverberating around the arena.
Carvalho has his takedown stuffed
and Pellinore counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
Carvalho looks winded!
Carvalho shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in side control! That's better than Carvalho was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!
The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace.
Pellinore tries to buck Carvalho off but Carvalho is having none of it.
Pellinore sneaks a leg under to get back to half guard.
Pellinore is trying to stand.

Carvalho is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there.
Carvalho is pressing down on Pellinore's thigh, looking to free his foot. Pellinore is holding on for now.
Pellinore wants to get back to his feet.
Carvalho looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
Carvalho wants to lay and pray for a moment but Pellinore keeps working.
Carvalho is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, Pellinore has managed to free his arm - good work.
Carvalho prevents Pellinore from standing back up.

The fighters are battling for position here. Pellinore manages to regain full guard. Nice work.

Pellinore is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.
Carvalho wants to improve his position but Pellinore is controlling well.

The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Pellinore throwing shots but Carvalho is blocking nicely.

Pellinore perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of Tor Pellinore.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Carvalho.
Pellinore cracks Carvalho with a nice right hand that draws applause from the crowd.
Carvalho doesn't succeed with the takedown
and Pellinore finishes the little exchange by landing a big kick to the body.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Carvalho leaves his chin hanging out and Pellinore seizes the opportunity with an uppercut! Carvalho crumbles to the floor in a heap! The referee steps in and tends to the downed fighter! What a knockout!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:55 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Tor Pellinore!
