Lalpa is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: Seek n Destroy. Both fighters will be looking to make this an exciting fight for the fans, I'm sure!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 2 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 9 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Tyrese Banks!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 9 - 4 - 0, fighting out of London, Misual Lalpa!
The judges for this bout are Dillan Fox, Elvis Blanc and Trevor Gratis.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lalpa has his takedown stuffed
and Banks counters with a series of strikes. Lalpa will be more careful next time no doubt.
Banks fails to land with a series of punches.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Lalpa.

and Banks counters with a three punch combination, finished off with a leg kick. Nice work.
Tyrese Banks has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Misual Lalpa.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Lalpa tries for a takedown but Banks circles away easily

and Banks counters with a takedown into side control! That could mean trouble for Lalpa!

Banks thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.

Banks wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Lalpa, who protects the arm well.
Lalpa is looking to regain half guard here but Banks keeps moving and retains side control.

Banks tries to move into full mount but can't pass Lalpa's legs.
Lalpa tries to improve position but can't.
Lalpa gets back to half guard.
Lalpa tries to roll over but Banks keeps him under control.
Lalpa is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Banks's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Banks's back!

Lalpa is working really hard to secure the rear naked choke. Banks defends successfully for a significant amount of time. Both fighters are looking very determined.
Banks is defending well here and trying to improve his position.
Lalpa doesn't have the hooks in and Banks manages to turn into his guard.

Banks avoids a guillotine attempt easily.

Lalpa is looking for a triangle but Banks pushes his legs off easily.
The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.

Banks trying to control the position from guard on top but Lalpa is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Banks wants to get up but he can't break Lalpa's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.

The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves.

The ref stands the fighters back up. Tyrese Banks wasn't doing enough on the ground.

Banks throws a nice looking combination but Lalpa bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.

and Banks connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
Lalpa displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Banks.

Banks scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Lalpa doesn't seem bothered though.

Lalpa shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Banks is trying to defend but Lalpa finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.

Banks is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Lalpa pulls his head out easily.
Both fighters really going for it on the ground here!

Lalpa is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Banks doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Lalpa.

Banks working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Lalpa doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Oh but Banks is tightening it up a little... Lalpa has to be careful here... He's got his foot tucked under now, this looks tight! Lalpa reacted too slowly and this one could be over in a matter of seconds! YES! Lalpa taps out! Nice BJJ there by Banks!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:19 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Triangle Choke). Tyrese Banks!
After the fight, Tyrese Banks was humble in paying tribute to his opponent but made it clear he wants to go on to bigger and better things. It seemed to go down well with the crowd who cheered him loudly.
