Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Eugene Carl Alexander Burns (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Viktor Burishkov (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The crowd seem to be enjoying Burishkov's choice of entrance music: Not a step back. Viktor Burishkov will no doubt be looking to use his reach advantage to good effect.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Burns tries to keep at a distance but Burishkov has taken the fight into the clinch.

Burishkov's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Burishkov feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits Burnss jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist!
Burishkov lands with a good body shot.
Burns takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it.
Burishkov moves into range and connects with a jab.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Burns shoots in for a double leg but Burishkov sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
Burns closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
Burns blocks the strikes from Burishkov.
Burishkov tries to kick Burns off but Burns keeps his base steady and stays in half guard.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Burishkov can do anything to dispel that myth.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Burishkov moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard.

Burishkov pushes Burns away and creates a bit of space to escape. He's almost out here... but no, Burns gets a good hold of his legs and remains firmly in side control.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Burns jumps to the side looking to secure the arm triangle…. Ooooh, that looks tight… Burishkov is gargling but he's managed to escape! Nice work there by Burishkov and Burns has given up the dominant position trying to land that submission.
Burishkov is working hard to escape and get back to his feet. After a battle for position, Burns asserts his dominance and retains side control.

Burns looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything.

Burishkov is writhing around trying to get back to his feet.
Burns with some aggressive grappling here. He's looking for submissions here, rather than waiting for the opportunity to counter.
Burishkov really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Burns. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Burns looks like he's working for a submission but he's not found anything just yet.

Burishkov is trying to get back to his feet but Burns has full control of the position and if anything, Burishkov has just worked his way into a worse spot.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Burns is working for the choke. He's slipped one arm under the chin. Burishkov has to defend the other arm for all he's worth... but Burns has managed to get that arm free too and he's tightening the choke! Burishkov taps out and looks absolutely disgusted with himself. Burns doesn't care though - he's delighted!
