The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jokinen walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head.

Smith avoids a lazy jab quite easily.
Smith pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way.
Smith thows a body shot but no joy.
Smith throws a hook to the side of Jokinen's head but Jokinen sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.

Smith throws a lazy right hand but Jokinen sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.

The fight moves into the clinch position.
Smith is still on wobbly legs! Can Jokinen finish him?

Jokinen digs a right hand underneath Smith's ribcage. Smith let out a lung full of air as it connected.
Jokinen has Smith pressed up against the cage in a tight Thai clinch. Smith is arching his back, trying to avoid the knees but a big one sneaks through from Jokinen - that's hurt Smith badly! Oh, another knee lands and Smith is covering up! The referee steps in to save him - possibly a bit early but Smith doesn't seem to be complaining.
