Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Diego Rogero (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Juan Martin Del Porto (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Rogero has a slight injury, which hopefully won't affect the fight too much. Both these guys have solid standup skills and neither is particularly fantastic on the ground, so let's hope for a nice standup war!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A right-left combo lands from Rogero.
Rogero takes a step back and watches a body kick go sailing past his mid section.
Del Porto avoids the head kick by Rogero.

Del Porto forces Rogero back against the cage and clinches.
Rogero tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Del Porto smiles and moves away.
Rogero throws a head kick that misses

and Del Porto counters into the clinch. Nicely done.
Rogero is breathing heavily.
Rogero looking to slow down the pace here.
Rogero wants to break free but Del Porto has control.
Rogero tries to pull guard but Del Porto forces him back to his feet, against the cage.

Del Porto breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Rogero keeps the fight on the outside.
Del Porto lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh.
Del Porto throws a sloppy head kick and Rogero moves out of range easily.
Rogero throws a head kick but Del Porto moves out of range.

Del Porto instigates a clinch.

Both fighters working to control the clinch.

Del Porto pulls Rogero into guard.
If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup.
Del Porto is avoiding any damage by keeping wrist control.

OK we're going to have a standup here. Juan Martin Del Porto hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart.
Rogero avoids a punch combination nicely.
Del Porto tries to close the distance and clinch but Rogero swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.

Del Porto pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Rogero lands a really nice looking cross but Del Porto seems unphased.

Del Porto closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Rogero quickly recovers to half guard.

He's hopped off into side control, looking to tighten the submission... is it going to work? He's given up a good position looking for it. Rogero looks OK. Oh, I spoke too soon, he's out! That must have been tighter than I thought! Excellent work there by Del Porto! Submission of the night perhaps?
