Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Tyson Pearson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Zhijing Wang (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 9 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Tyson Pearson!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 11 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Zhijing Wang!
The judges for this bout are Anni Minnemäki, Ben Zyskovitsi and Johanna Lukiainen.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Wang misses with a head kick.

Wang throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Pearson tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Wang is in Pearson's guard.

Pearson had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Wang defends it easily.

Wang got a little sloppy there for a moment and Pearson has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Wang has managed to get both his arms back between Pearson's legs - danger averted.

Pearson throws a series of punches but Wang moves out of range.
Pearson fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Wang manages to avoid it.

Pearson has a nice red mark on his side after a thudding body kick by Wang.

Wang shoots in looking for a takedown. Pearson tries to sprawl out of it but Wang keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Pearson manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

Wang is going oldschool here, as he tries to force Pearson to tap using a forearm choke. This isn't 1993 though, so Pearson shrugs it off.

Pearson throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Pearson leaves Wang with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.

Tyson Pearson has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Zhijing Wang.
Wang throws a head kick that looked like it stung.

And that's the end of the fight!
That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Tyson Pearson.
Well Wang has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
