Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Jack Tripper (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and John Esposito (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Tripper comes to the cage accompanied by Disturbed - Land Of Confusion. Esposito has chosen Sukh Knight as his entrance music. This should be fireworks!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 26 - 14 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Jack Tripper!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 25 - 13 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, John Esposito!
The judges for this bout are , Don Winkell and Frank Antenori.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Esposito tries to bum rush Tripper with a series of wild strikes but Tripper uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Esposito swings widly with a right hand
and Tripper counters with a body kick that brings a smile to the face of both fighters.
Tripper cracks the inside of Esposito's front leg.
Esposito scores with a spinning back kick!
Tripper dips to his left and cracks Esposito with an uppercut!
Esposito dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
Esposito avoids a low kick by using good footwork.

Esposito is pinned up against the cage taking some big shots here. The referee is looking closely deciding whether he should stop the fight.

Tripper throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Esposito stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Esposito is edging up against the cage. He's using the cage to get back to his feet. Nice work there - the fighters are clinched.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Tripper misses with a hook to the ribs.
Esposito misses with a punch on the inside.

Tripper throws the kick towards the body but Esposito avoids it.
Esposito misses with a wild body shot.
Esposito connects with a right hand. Tripper shakes it off.
Tripper takes a swing at Esposito's ribcage but misses.
Esposito scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business.
Esposito throws a hook but Tripper avoids it easily.

Tripper walks straight into an uppercut. Luckily it didn't land flush.

Tripper does a little shimmy and throws a leg kick. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy.
Tripper looks for the body kick but Esposito saw that one coming.

Tripper throws a leg kick but he was too far away and it doesn't land.

Tripper slips under a jab.
Esposito throws out a loose jab but Tripper uses good head movement to avoid it.
Esposito throws a body punch but Tripper moves out of range.
John Esposito seems to be getting the better of the standup.
Tripper displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Esposito throws out the jab.

Esposito checks the leg kick nicely there.

Esposito uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Tripper.
Tripper tries to land a front kick but Esposito steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed.

Esposito lands a leg kick that knocks Tripper off balance momentarily.
Esposito lets the fists fly and connects with a left straight followed by a right hook.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Some bone on bone action there as Esposito checks a low kick. Luckily it wasn't a particularly hard one.
Esposito chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Tripper can pounce on him.
Tripper tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Esposito was well out of range. Poor timing from Tripper.

Tripper throws a solid leg kick but Esposito takes the impact on his shin and smiles at Tripper.
Tripper dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Esposito. That did some damage!

Esposito is trying to control the position but Tripper postures up.

Tripper is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Esposito is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Esposito has escaped and now he's on top!

Tripper looking for a guillotine here but Esposito defends easily.
Esposito is fighting to break Tripper's control of his arms but Tripper is doing a good job of controlling the position at the moment.

Tripper is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Esposito is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him.
Tripper wants to sweep here but Esposito controlling him for the moment.

Tripper had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Esposito defends it easily.

Esposito slaps away a takedown attempt from Tripper, before circling back to the center of the mat.

and Tripper counters with a good low kick that Esposito was not able to check.
Esposito's leg has a nasty welt from taking a succession of leg kicks. That must be slowing him down.

and he gets countered with a snapping leg kick.
Tripper looks to land a body kick but Esposito moved away.
Tripper lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.

It looks like John Esposito has been cut.
Esposito takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.
Esposito jabbing away but nothing is landing.
Tripper throws a good cross that connects.

Tripper bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Esposito's head backwards.

Tripper throws a looping overhand right but Esposito ducks down to avoid it.

Tripper throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Esposito was covering up waiting for the punch and Tripper finishes the takedown easily into guard.

Tripper drops back looking for a leg! Esposito is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Esposito manages to kick Tripper off! Tripper jumps back into Esposito's guard.
Hammerfist, elbow! yells Tripper's corner. There ya go! There ya go!

And that's the end of the fight!
Jack Tripper showed his dominance in that final round.
Well Tripper has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
