The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Darker gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here.
Gasol is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Darker pulls him back up using the underhooks.
Darker breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Darker throws a right hand that Gasol ducks under and follows up with a left that Gasol also avoids with ease.
A momentary lapse in concentration from Gasol enables Darker to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Gasol manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.
