PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Tommy Cornell (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Dragon Tamer (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Cornell comes to the cage accompanied by Sex Pistols - God Save The Queen. Both fighters will be looking to make this an exciting fight for the fans, I'm sure!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 7 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Tommy Cornell!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Dragon Tamer!
The judges for this bout are Don Winkell, Jack Bonds and Frank Antenori.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Cornell throws a head kick that misses.
Tamer displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Cornell.
Cornell throws a body kick, spinning off balance
and Tamer counters with a left and a right that stings Cornell.
Cornell misses with a wild body shot.
No luck with that takedown attempt from Cornell.
Cornell feints a jab promting Tamer to slip. Cornell then demonstrates his capabilities by jabbing again. Tamer slips again and ducks right into an uppercut.


It looks like Dragon Tamer has been cut.

Cornell throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Tamer.

The sound of bone on bone echoes around the arena as Tamer checks a leg kick.
Cornell pushes forward with a 1-2 combination that forces Tamer back to the cage. Cornell follows up with a solid lead hook to the liver.

and Tamer counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body.

Tamer gets caught napping as Cornell dives in and scores a takedown. Tamer manages to retain guard.
Tamer wants to stand and escape but Cornell is having none of it.

The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

Cornell throws a big elbow that misses, also allowing Tamer to regain full guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Cornell stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Tamer swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Cornell is looking to pass into half guard but Tamer pushes him away with his feet and jumps on top - now Tamer is in guard.

Tamer drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Cornell dives on top into guard.

Cornell postures up in Tamer's guard and throws a big left but Tamer blocks it.

Tamer has his feet on Cornell's hips. He pushes off and gets to his feet. Nice work.

Cornell fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Tamer sprawls well initially but Cornell persists and gets the takedown into half guard.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

That was a close second round but I would say that Tommy Cornell will probably get the nod.

Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

Cornell is really struggling to find his range with his punches. Tamer's reach advantage is clearly causing him problems.
