PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Brad Brennan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Neville Dando (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Brennan shoots in looking for a takedown. Dando tries to sprawl out of it but Brennan keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Dando manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Brennan tries to close the distance and clinch up but Dando swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Brennan dives in and grabs Dando's left leg, looking for a takedown. Dando pushes down on Brennan's head and hops out.
Brennan shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Dando defends it nicely.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Brad Brennan. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Dando is pushing down on Brennan's leg trying to pass to half guard. Brennan is fighting to maintain full guard but Dando has managed to sneak the leg through.

Dando working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Dando has freed up his trapped foot and advances to mount.
