Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Salim Al Muri (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Vilho Alanen (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Alanen has chosen Turmion Kätilöt - Grand Ball as his entrance music. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Al Muri misses with an attempted mid kick.
Al Muri moves out of range of the body kick.
Alanen defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Al Muri.
Alanen fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Al Muri manages to avoid it.
Al Muri will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Alanen loads up on a big right hand but Al Muri slips the punch.
Alanen just misses with a punch to the body.
Al Muri uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Alanen has time to react.
Alanen cracks a nice hook into Al Muri's ribs.

Al Muri closes the distance and clinches up with Alanen, looking for a takedown. Al Muri pushes Alanen against the cage but Alanen circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Salim Al Muri. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Alanen lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.

Al Muri looks up at the clock and then as Alanen takes his cue and looks up at the clock too, Al Muri smacks him right in the chops with a big elbow! How rude!

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Alanen can do anything to dispel that myth.
Al Muri postures up a little and throws a couple of hammerfists but they don't connect properly.

Alanen parries the strikes from Al Muri easily there. Al Muri is wary of posturing up too much because it might enable Alanen to escape.

Al Muri has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Al Muri misses with a strike but at least he's keeping busy, looking to cause some damage - that will still help him when it comes to the judges scorecards.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Alanen really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Al Muri. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Al Muri tries for a kimura but Alanen is defending well.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.
Al Muri lands a knee to the body and follows it up with some ground and pound to the head. That will wear Alanen down.
Al Muri tries to move to mount but Alanen blocks the move with his legs.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.
