The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

King shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Hawthorne but Hawthorne pushes him off and we're back to square one.

This is turning into a torrid day at the office for King. He's trying desperately to land a takedown but he's failing miserably and getting slapped silly on the feet to compound his misery.
King closes the distance and clinches up with Hawthorne, looking for a takedown. King pushes Hawthorne against the cage but Hawthorne circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.

Hawthorne throws a one two combo.
Hawthorne gets caught napping as King dives in and scores a takedown. Hawthorne manages to retain guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
King stands and throws Hawthorne's legs to the side, diving into side control.
King has knee on belly and moves into mount.
Hawthorne is trying to escape the mount but King keeps good control and instead manages to take Hawthorne's back.
King working from the back looking to end the fight with a rear naked choke. Hawthorne is doing well to defend. King seems to have got his hand under the chin though and he's sunk the choke in! Hawthorne is forced to tap and this one is over!
