Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Frank Woods (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Pedro Ramos (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The key to victory for Frank Woods has got to be keeping the fight on the feet.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, Frank Woods!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Pedro Ramos!
The judges for this bout are Paul Tew, Colin Fotheringham and William Gold.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Woods fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Ramos manages to avoid it.
Jab by Woods.
Woods tries to clinch but fails miserably
and Ramos counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.

A momentary lapse in concentration from Woods enables Ramos to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Woods manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.
Ramos is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.
Ramos is looking to stand up but Woods won't let him.
Ramos stops Woods from standing up.
Ramos wanted to stand there but Woods had control of the position.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Ramos accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
Ramos has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Woods is proving hard to escape from.

Ramos throwing strikes from guard but Woods blocks nicely.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Woods closes the distance and lands a one-two.
Woods throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Ramos on the side of the head.

Ramos has Woods up against the cage in a clinch.
Ramos keeps control of Woods as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks.
Woods wants to break free but Ramos has control.
Ramos keeps the fight in the clinch, despite Woods's efforts to push away.

Ramos gets a nice trip takedown into half guard.
Ramos thows a huge punch but Woods dodges it nicely.
Ramos is controlling the pace.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
It looks like Ramos might be adopting somewhat of a lay and pray gameplan here, which I'm sure won't go down too well with the paying fans in attendance... Or the ring announcers come to think of it.

Ramos is looking for a kimura here.

Still in half guard, Ramos seems content to control.
Ramos's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige.

The ref calls for a clean break and stands the fighters back up. Pedro Ramos wasn't active enough on the ground.
Woods throws a right and a left that Ramos avoids nicely.
Woods stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Woods wants it to stay on the feet.
Ramos shoots in for a takedown but Woods shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
Ramos misses with an attempted mid kick.
Woods misses with a few strikes there.

Ramos fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Woods, pushing him back against the cage.

Ramos breaks from the clinch.

Ramos forces Woods back against the cage and clinches.

Ramos has dropped down and is working for a takedown. Woods is trying to keep an underhook but Ramos manages to get the takedown into half guard.
Ramos throws a strike but Woods avoids it easily and moves to full guard.
Woods can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Ramos controls the pace.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Woods not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Ramos throws a big elbow that misses.
Ramos is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!


Ramos tried to score with a low kick but Woods checks it.

Ramos closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.

Woods is fighting off a takedown attempt but Ramos is just too persistent for him and manages to trip Woods to the mat. Woods regains guard as soon as the fighters hit the mat.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Ramos wants to stand and escape but instead Woods has hit a sweep and he's now on top in guard.
Ramos pulls Woods in close to his closed guard and prevents Woods from doing any damage or advancing position.

Ramos is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Woods is aware though and is defending well.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Woods accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
Ramos seems keen to control rather than go for a submission, at least for now.

Ramos looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
Woods knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Ramos on the ground.
Woods wants to control from the top but Ramos keeps moving.
Woods trying to stand up but can't free himself from Ramos's guard.
Woods postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.
Ramos is pulling down on Woods's head to control his posture.

We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Woods tries a low kick but Ramos avoids it.
Ramos shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Woods as he avoids it easily.
Woods throws a jab when Ramos was well out of range.
Woods cracks Ramos with a nice right hand that draws applause from the crowd.
Woods is looking to clinch but Ramos is avoiding it.
Woods scores with a jab to the head.
A decent looking cross lands there for Woods.
Ramos is trying hard to land a takedown here. Woods sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.
This has been an exciting period of action!

Ramos is breathing heavily.
Ramos stops Woods from standing up.

Ramos drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Woods manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Ramos has Woods in his guard.

Ramos will have to put a bit more behind his punches if he's going to do any damage from this position.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Ramos can do anything to dispel that myth.
Woods wants to control from the top but Ramos keeps moving.
Woods looking to sit in guard and control but Ramos gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.

Woods wants to stand up but Ramos is controlling him.

We're going to have a standup here because Frank Woods wasn't active enough for the referee's liking.
Ramos steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Woods.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Woods connects with a body shot that sends Ramos's belly button to the back.
Woods misses with a left hand

and Ramos counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Ramos decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Pedro Ramos showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
That's time! Back to the action! Let's hear some noise people - this is the final round!


Woods swats away the attempt to clinch by Ramos.
Ramos takes a jab right on the kisser.
Woods misses with a looping left.

Ramos drives through with a takedown into Woods's guard. Let's see what he can do from the top position.
Ramos pushes down on Woods's leg and manages to get into half guard.
Ramos trying to control the pace.
Ramos wants to pass the guard but Woods is defending well.

Woods is trying to defend against the ground and pound but Ramos scores with a couple of nice shots.
Ramos frees up his trapped foot and advances to mount.
Woods can't escape the position.
Ramos lands with some strikes.
Ramos raining down shots from the mount!

Woods is trying to stand.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.

Ramos is in full mount, looking to secure a guillotine but Woods is surviving well by controlling Ramos's body position as best he can.

Ramos working to secure an arm triangle but it's not happening for him just yet.

Ramos has hold of Woods's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Woods manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.

Woods is not a happy chappy… he wants out of there.
Ramos content just to control the position here.

Pedro Ramos comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
I've got Ramos winning every round here. Surely the decision will go his way and he'll pick up a well deserved decision victory. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
