The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Steel Penn throws a head kick but Black moves out of range.
Steel Penn moves into range and connects with a jab.
Steel Penn wants to slow Black down by chopping away at his legs.

Black looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into side control! Oh, that's bad for Steel Penn!
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.

Black sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Steel Penn's guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Black attempts a low kick but it misses it's target.

Steel Penn displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Black.

Steel Penn thuds his right hand into Black's forehead from close range. That could be painful for both fighters.
Both fighters circling a little - Steel Penn finishes the exchange with a kick to the body.
Black's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Steel Penn connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Black scrambles back to his feet.

Black moves into range and clinches up with Steel Penn.

Steel Penn breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Black tries to score a power double leg takedown but Steel Penn sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Black somewhat.
Lord Steel Penn is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Black shoots in but Steel Penn avoids the takedown attempt easily.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Bible Black. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Black wants to lay and pray for a moment but Steel Penn keeps working.

Steel Penn ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Black moves away.

Black closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Steel Penn's guard.

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Bible Black.
Well Steel Penn has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
