Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Haya Bernie McAwesome (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Chucky Laguardia (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). I can't wait for this one - let's get the fighter introductions out of the way and get this one started!

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Chucky Laguardia!
The judges for this bout are Micheangelo Fripello, Colin Fray and Ryoma Takatsuka.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
McAwesome tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Laguardia paws at him with a jab and circles away.
McAwesome rushes in with a sloppy looking punch
and Laguardia counters with a left to the body.
A looping hook to the body misses from McAwesome. Laguardia does a little dance to reset his feet.
McAwesome throws a right hand that misses
and Laguardia counters with a stiff right hand.
Laguardia shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts McAwesome as he jumps to the side.

McAwesome fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Laguardia sprawls well initially but McAwesome persists and gets the takedown into half guard.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.

McAwesome is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

McAwesome is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Laguardia defends it well.

McAwesome has hold of the far side arm. He's working for the Kimura, can Laguardia defend it? McAwesome steps over the head and cranks it - Laguardia is tapping out! That was textbook stuff right there - nice submission victory for McAwesome!
