The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Burns swings for the body but Burgundy moves out of range.
Burns misses with a takedown attempt - Burgundy sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
Burns uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Burgundy.
Burns fails with a takedown attempt.
Burns shoots in for a takedown but Burgundy shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
Ron Burgundy has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Eugene Carl Alexander Burns.
Burns closes the distance and clinches up with Burgundy, looking for a takedown. Burns pushes Burgundy against the cage but Burgundy circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.

Burgundy throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Burns.

Burns drops back looking for a leg! Burgundy is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Burgundy manages to kick Burns off! Burns jumps back into Burgundy's guard.
