Meyer comes to the cage accompanied by I'd Love to Knock the Hell out of You. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Meyer misses with a body shot.
Meyer looks to throw the jab but Carter is out of range.
Kurt Meyer seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Meyer misses with a straight right.
Meyer buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.
Carter keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Meyer.
Meyer cracks Carter with a good shot that sees him stumbling back into the cage.

It looks like Llewelyn Carter has been cut.
Meyer just misses with a punch to the body.
A head kick from Carter lands but Meyer takes it in his stride.

The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
A chopping leg kick lands by Meyer.
Meyer swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.
Meyer ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Carter moves away.
Meyer takes a swing at Carter's ribcage but misses.
Meyer throws a right hand that Carter ducks under and follows up with a left that Carter also avoids with ease.
Carter throws a leg kick which misses Meyer's front leg but catches the back leg as Meyer tries to avoid it.
Carter throws a head kick that misses.
Meyer keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.

Carter lunges in with an uppercut that skims his opponent's chin.
Carter thows a body shot but no joy.
Meyer throws a head kick that misses
and Carter counters with a nice leg kick.
Carter attempts a low kick but it misses it's target.
Carter doesn't manage to clinch there - Meyer circles away.
A decent looking body kick lands there for Carter.
Meyer is breathing heavily.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Meyer walks into a left hand.
Meyer takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness.
Carter misses with a body kick.
Meyer throws an overhand right that lands on Carter's shoulder, as Carter tries to avoid the shot.
Carter fakes with the hands and throws a leg kick but Meyer is out of range.
Carter pivots, looking for a leg kick but Meyer is out of range and Carter settles back down.

A good leg kick by Carter.
Carter tries to close the distance and clinch up but Meyer swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Carter stuns Meyer with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range.
Carter digs a good body shot into Meyer's ribs.
Carter misses with a body kick.
Carter clobbers Meyer with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise.

Kurt Meyer's cut is getting worse.
Meyer swats away the attempt to clinch by Carter.
Meyer rushes in with a sloppy looking punch
letting Carter counter with a right hand.

Kurt Meyer's cut is bleeding quite badly. He's got to try and protect it.
Carter looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Some bone on bone action there as Meyer checks a low kick. Luckily it wasn't a particularly hard one.
Carter stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush.

Carter lands a left and a right that send Meyer crashing to the mat, dazed. Carter thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!

Meyer is rocked!

The referee calls the doctor in to look at Kurt Meyer's cut. Oh no, the doctor has called an end to the bout!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:55 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Cut). Llewelyn Carter!
After winning the bout, Llewelyn Carter thanked all his fans and promised he'd do even better in his next fight. The crowd seemed to love his humility.
