The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Furnival drives through and clinches with Smith against the cage.
Furnival is pressed up against the cage. Smith has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Furnival down to the mat. Furnival avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.

Furnival has managed to clinch.
Furnival tried to land a shot to the body but connects with Smith's elbow.
Furnival blocks an uppercut.
Smith lands a nice looking hook to the body, against the cage.
Smith lands a left hand that snaps the head of Furnival backwards.
Smith is working for a takedown up against the cage. He can't get it on this occasion though.

It looks like Sexton Furnival has been cut.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Furnival gets underhooks to prevent Smith's takedown attempt.

Smith digs a right hand into Furnival's ribs. Those have got to be taking their toll on Furnival's gas tank.
Smith goes for a takedown attempt but Furnival pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.

Smith shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Furnival napping and manages to drive through into side control!

Sexton Furnival's cut is absolute horrible now. This looks like something out of a horror film with blood covering both fighters.
