The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Michaels throws a right hand that Woods ducks under and follows up with a left that Woods also avoids with ease.

Michaels has managed to clinch.

Michaels escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Michaels walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head.

Michaels drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.

Michaels drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Michaels jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

Michaels stands up from Woods's guard - Michaels perhaps looking for a knockout.

Woods gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Michaels to score an easy takedown into full guard.

Woods is working an open guard so Michaels takes the opportunity to get back to his feet.

Michaels closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.

Michaels pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.

Michaels shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Woods manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.
Michaels slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard.

Michaels throws a big elbow that misses.
Michaels tries to free his leg and advance position but Woods is retaining full guard.

Michaels decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow.
A decent looking cross lands there for Michaels.

Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Woods, as that shot connected.
Woods leaves Michaels with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
Woods fakes a head shot and lands one to the body.

Michaels fails with a takedown attempt.
Michaels takes an uppercut right on the button but keeps his composure.

Michaels moves into range and clinches up with Woods.

Michaels tightens his grip and picks Woods up, before dumping him to the ground. Woods manages to land in guard.
Woods is looking to stand back up... there's a bit of a scramble and Michaels dives into side control.

Michaels seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Woods for as long as he can get away with.

Michaels has hold of Woods's arm. He's looking for a kimura. Woods seems comfortable defending it but Michaels has shifted his position slighty and is cranking on the arm! Woods is real pain and he's forced to tap out! Woods is disgusted with himself for not defending it better but Michaels couldn't care less - he's delighted!
