Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Dragon Slayer (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Artie Lange (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Lange comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Fire - Bruce Springsteen kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lange tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Slayer was well out of range. Poor timing from Lange.
Slayer keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Slayer throws a low kick but Lange avoids it.
Slayer displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Lange throws out the jab.
A left lands for Slayer.
Lange pushing out the jab but it's not landing.
Slayer throws a leg kick but Lange sees it coming and checks it nicely.
Artie Lange seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Lange tries to break free but Slayer pushes him back against the cage.

Lange is trying to push Slayer away but Slayer has him pressed against the cage, so he's going nowhere.
Lange swings wildly with an uppercut but Slayer uses good head movement to avoid it.
Slayer goes for a body shot but it's blocked.
Lange pushes Slayer back against the cage and lands a hook to the side of the head.

Slayer is working hard here but doesn't seem to be able to control effectively, up against the cage.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Slayer tries to close the distance and clinch but Lange swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
A solid leg kick lands there for Slayer.
Slayer takes a hook to the side of the head. I wonder if that's got his ears ringing.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

A close round but Artie Lange will probably get the nod.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.

Lange swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Slayer with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Lange to score with a decent uppercut.
Slayer lands a jab. Then a cross. Then finally a nice hook to the body. Good work there by Slayer.

Slayer lands a straight punch to the body, keeping Lange at a distance.

Lange throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Slayer sees it coming and avoids it easily.

Slayer lands a left and a right that send Lange crashing to the mat, dazed. Slayer thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!

Lange is rocked!
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Slayer lands a big head kick that sends Lange to the canvas! Slayer follows up with strikes from the mount that forces the ref to step in and stop the fight!
