The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Diaz takes a swing at Pereira's ribcage but misses.
Diaz tries to clinch but Pereira is having none of it.
Diaz misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Pereira scores with a kick to the midsection.
Diaz looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Pereira is fending him off so far but Diaz persists. Nope, Pereira circles away and we're back to standing.

Pereira sets himself and throws a head kick that knocks Diaz to the ground! Pereira dives into full mount looking to finish!

Diaz tries to lock up and control but Pereira gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.
