Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Jamal Williams (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Davin Gunter (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Gunter has chosen Black as his entrance music. Well, the cameraman is lingering on a pretty young lady for a bit too long there. Keep your eyes on the fighters buddy or you'll miss the fighter intros!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gunter looks to land a combination but Williams avoids it well.

Gunter closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Gunter is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Williams has escaped the position, nice work there.
Williams tries to improve position but can't.
Gunter trying to control the position but Williams is working away.
Gunter in side control, throwing shots but Williams defends.
Williams sneaks a leg under to get back to half guard.

Gunter is trying to work for a kimura but Williams is defending well.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.

Gunter shoots in and bounces Williams off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.
Williams wants to stand up but Gunter is controlling him.

Williams controls Gunter momentarily but Gunter frees himself.
Williams wants to sweep but no luck.
Gunter seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.
Gunter works a leg free and moves into half guard.
Well, if Gunter is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.
Gunter has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.

Gunter prevents Williams from improving his position.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Gunter is looking for a kimura here.
Williams is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
Gunter winds up and cracks Williams with a swinging punch to the side of the head.

Gunter is pressing down on Williams's thigh, looking to free his foot. Williams is holding on for now.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.
Gunter keeps the fight on the outside.

Gunter moves into the clinch successfully.
Williams is working for a takedown up against the cage. He can't get it on this occasion though.

Gunter pulls Williams into guard.

Gunter has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Williams can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Williams stands and throws Gunter's legs to the side, diving into side control.
Gunter tries to improve position but can't.
Williams prevents Gunter from escaping the position.
Gunter manages to land a sweep and he's now on top! Lovely Jiu Jitsu!
Williams is trying to get back to full guard.
Williams wants to control but Gunter is keeping busy and won't allow it.

Gunter is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Williams defends it well.

Gunter is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Williams is just riding it out for now. Gunter eventually gives up the hold.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Davin Gunter dominated that round.

Williams closes this distance looking for a takedown but Gunter circles away.

and Gunter counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Williams's guard now.

Gunter drops back for a leg here. A bit of a high risk move... He's looking for a kneebar by the looks of things. Now both of them are looking for submissions. Gunter seems to have locked his on tight now - Williams screams in pain and taps out furiously! It certainly was a high risk move but it's paid off for Gunter, as he picks up the win!
