Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Alan Glass, Daniel Franklin and George Francis.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Santana gets a double leg takedown into Adfheo's guard.
If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup.
Santana trying to control the position from guard on top but Adfheo is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Santana is in close to Adfheo's body, working some short punches and elbows.
Santana decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Adfheo, up you get!
Santana shoots in but Adfheo avoids the takedown attempt easily.
Santana throws a head kick but Adfheo moves out of range.

and Santana counters with a leg kick that reverborates around the arena.

Adfheo will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

Santana drops back, looking for a kneebar! Adfheo looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Adfheo looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Adfheo!

Adfheo creates some space and throws a big elbow, but Santana sees it coming and moves his head just enough to avoid the strike.

Adfheo is looking to take a break and control but Santana is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
Adfheo tries to score with some ground and pound. Santana controls his posture well this time though and the shots don't do any damage.
Santana is putting a lot of effort into getting back to his feet here.
Adfheo wants to control but Santana is keeping him busy.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Santana is trying to escape and get back to his feet.
Adfheo throwing strikes but Santana manages to buck up and roll into a nice reversal - now he's on top in side control!

Adfheo parries the strikes from Santana easily there. Santana is wary of posturing up too much because it might enable Adfheo to escape.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Santana stands up and beckons Adfheo to his feet.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Santana is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Adfheo's half guard.

Santana wants to lay and pray for a moment but Adfheo keeps working.
Adfheo wants to get back to his feet.
Santana is working to tighten is grip on Adfheo's neck. He's isolated an arm and is working for an arm triangle. Adfheo has recognised the danger and is trying to turn with the submission but Santana is really squeezing tight and eventually Adfheo passes out! Santana breaks the hold and jumps onto the cage to celebrate! Submission of the night, I'd say!
