The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

That was a close round but I would say that Carlos Cierra will probably get the nod.

Cierra thuds his right hand into Gora's forehead from close range. That could be painful for both fighters.

That has opened up Elbrys Gora's cut even more.
Gora shoots for a takedown but Cierra saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
Carlos Cierra has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Elbrys Gora.

and Cierra counters with a body kick that brings a smile to the face of both fighters.

Cierra throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.

Cierra does a little shimmy and throws a leg kick. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy.
Gora uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Cierra.

Cierra is using his reach advantage well here, landing the more effective single shots from range.

Elbrys Gora's cut is absolute horrible now. This looks like something out of a horror film with blood covering both fighters.

The referee calls the doctor in to look at Elbrys Gora's cut. Oh no, the doctor has called an end to the bout!

In his post fight interview, Carlos Cierra started talking himself up. Luckily his charisma kept the crowd on side and gave him a good reception.
