The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ramsey has his takedown stuffed

and Drake counters with a takedown into side control! That could mean trouble for Ramsey!
The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.
Ramsey is looking to reverse the position.
Ramsey takes a nasty elbow to the side of the head.

Drake decides to take the fight back to the feet.

Drake instigates a clinch.

Drake breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.

Drake moves into range and clinches up with Ramsey.

Drake has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Ramsey uses from the top position.
Drake is pulling down on Ramsey's head to control his posture.

Ramsey wants to control from the top but Drake keeps moving.
Ramsey tries to free his leg and advance position but Drake is retaining full guard.

Drake escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Ramsey gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Drake had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Ramsey defends it easily.

Ramsey drops back looking for a submission - "I'm sorry sir, but I'm gunna break your leg" says Ramsey as he cranks on the unfortunate limb! Drake screams and taps out before any major damage is done! Don't mess with Ramsey! Nice submission victory there!

A very excited looking Paul Ramsey rambled incoherently for about 5 minutes post fight about how awesome he is. It was kinda funny for a while but then everyone got annoyed.
