Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Terry Picket (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Damien Reynolds (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 7 - 0, fighting out of London, Terry Picket !
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Damien Reynolds!
The judges for this bout are Sam Margolis, Phil Schofield and Donald Grub.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Picket tries to clinch but Reynolds is having none of it.

Reynolds closes the distance and pushes Picket back into the cage.

Reynolds is trying to trip Picket . He has hold of a leg but Picket is hopping around, keeping his balance for the moment. Reynolds persists though and gets the takedown into guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup.

Reynolds has gone for a leg lock! Picket slips out almost immediately though and dives into Reynolds's guard.

Picket drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Picket jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.
Picket sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Reynolds's guard.
Reynolds is trying to stand back up but Picket is controlling him
Reynolds tries to roll over but Picket keeps him under control.

Picket is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.

Reynolds kicks off Picket and gets to his feet.

Reynolds moves into range and clinches up with Picket .
Picket jumps guard but Reynolds turns him against the cage and keeps the fight standing.

Reynolds got a little sloppy there for a moment and Picket has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Reynolds has managed to get both his arms back between Picket 's legs - danger averted.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Reynolds can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Picket is looking to escape.

Reynolds stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Picket swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Picket drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Reynolds manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Picket has Reynolds in his guard.

Reynolds is looking to take a break and control but Picket is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

Reynolds tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Reynolds has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
Reynolds is in a good position here but he's just trying to control... And he's not even managing to do that successfully.

Picket has his foot on Reynolds's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Reynolds works his way back into a safe position though.

Damien Reynolds showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

Reynolds should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete.

Picket pulls out of a head kick attempt.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.

Well Reynolds has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
