Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Brian Finch (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Atilla Khan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Khan has chosen Killing In The Name as his entrance music. Atilla Khan will no doubt be looking to use his reach advantage to good effect.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Brian Finch!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Atilla Khan!
The judges for this bout are Patrick Alders, Nard Betker and Aafke Stam.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Finch shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Khan sprawls well. Khan wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Finch gets slowly back to his feet.
Finch shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Khan but Khan pushes him off and we're back to square one.
No luck with that takedown attempt from Khan.
Khan throws a looping overhand right but Finch ducks down to avoid it.
Brian Finch seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Finch changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Khan tries to avoid it but Finch manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Khan to the ground. Khan escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Brian Finch. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Khan is trying hard to land a takedown here. Finch sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.
Finch shoots in but Khan avoids the takedown attempt easily.

The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.

Finch wants to lay and pray for a moment but Khan keeps working.
Khan is putting a lot of effort into getting back to his feet here.

Khan is looking to work his way out of this bad position but Finch is controlling him well.

Finch is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Khan is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.

Finch decides to stand back up.

Khan fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Finch to the ground. Khan is now in Finch's guard.

Khan postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Finch is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Khan, into his guard.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Khan is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Finch defends well.
Khan throws a couple of shots from the bottom but they don't land.

Khan is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.
Khan is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.
Finch passes into half guard.
Khan looks like he's trying to stand up.
Khan avoiding damage under a succession of punches from Finch.

Finch is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.
Khan throws a strike from the bottom that misses.

Khan is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Finch's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Finch's back!
Finch trying to control but he's just got himself in more trouble.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Finch has the hand control, trying to stop the rear naked choke.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that Brian Finch will probably get the nod.

Finch ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent.

Khan drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.
Finch controls Khan momentarily but Khan frees himself.
Khan connects with a couple of short punches.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Khan loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.

Khan decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Finch, up you get!
Khan shoots for a takedown but Finch saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

Finch prevents the takedown attempt.
Finch blocks the elbow strike.
Khan tried to land a shot to the body but connects with Finch's elbow.
Finch fails to pull the fight into his guard.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Khan must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.
Khan postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.

Atilla Khan showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action! This is the final round!


Khan fails miserably with a takedown attempt.

and Finch counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt.
Finch dives in and grabs Khan's left leg, looking for a takedown. Khan pushes down on Finch's head and hops out.

Khan looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard.

Khan thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Finch's head.
Finch is trying to stand up here but Khan is controlling him well.

Khan is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Finch is just riding it out for now. Khan eventually gives up the hold.

Khan postures up in Finch's guard and throws a big left but Finch blocks it.
Finch not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Finch avoiding any damage from the ground and pound.
Finch is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Khan is controlling him.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Khan accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
Finch utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.
Khan postures up.
Khan is looking to work some ground and pound but Finch has wrist control.

Finch has momentary wrist control but Khan slips an elbow through the middle.
Khan makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard.

Khan drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Finch manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Khan has Finch in his guard.

Khan is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Finch defends well.

Finch decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow.
Finch fails to land the takedown.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Khan shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Finch pinned against the cage. Finch gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Brian Finch has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Atilla Khan.
Khan looks for a takedown but Finch sprawls well.
Finch tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in the close the distance. Khan manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Brian Finch is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Khan shoots in looking for a takedown. Finch tries to sprawl out of it but Khan keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Finch manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Finch shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Khan as he jumps to the side.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

Finch gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.

And that's the end of the fight!
Atilla Khan comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
I think Khan has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
