PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Homie Supreme (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Axe Icel (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 1 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 28 - 13 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Homie Supreme!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 7 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Axe Icel!
The judges for this bout are Lou da Vinci, Reed Andrews and Bruno Lombardi.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Good standup being displayed there by Supreme as he connects with a hook.
Supreme tries to check the leg kick but that clearly hurt him.
Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from Supreme.
Icel on the wrong end of an overhand right that came out of nowhere.
That kick from Supreme tenderised Icel's leg. Icel is trying to keep his angry face on.
Supreme connects with a body shot.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Supreme throws a leg kick but Icel sees it coming and checks it nicely.
Supreme rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Icel moves out of range and avoids them all easily.

Icel rushes Supreme and presses him up against the cage.
Supreme prevents a body shot from Icel.
Supreme dictating the pace here, as the fighters clinch against the cage.
Icel is working hard here but doesn't seem to be able to control effectively, up against the cage.

Supreme breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Supreme fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Icel has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage.
Supreme fakes with the hands and throws a leg kick but Icel is out of range.
Icel connects nicely with a jab. Noted by the judges no doubt.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Supreme staying out of range there.
Icel fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Supreme manages to avoid it.
Supreme misses with a head kick.
Ouch! a nice leg kick from Supreme, right into the meat.
Icel looking to throw a kick but he's pulled out of it.
Icel lands with a straight right. Supreme didn't see that one coming.
Supreme avoids a lazy jab quite easily.
Icel takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch.
Icel looks winded!
Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from Supreme lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Icel has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Icel and we're back underway with a touch of gloves.
Supreme wants to clinch.
Supreme circles away from the clinch attempt.
Supreme bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Icel's head backwards.

It looks like Axe Icel has been cut.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Supreme tries to land a leg kick but Icel saw it coming and moves away.
Supreme lands with an overhand left.
Icel blocks a low kick nicely.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Icel tries to clinch up but Supreme circles away and keeps his distance.
Icel misses with a few strikes there.
Supreme lands with a thumping leg kick.
Supreme scores with a nice right hand.
Icel keeping at a good range here, avoiding a leg kick.
Supreme dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Icel. That did some damage!
Icel with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Supreme to score with a decent uppercut.
Homie Supreme seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Supreme throws a quick inside leg kick.
Supreme lands a head shot.

Supreme drops Icel with a beautiful combination! Icel stares up at his opponent, who ushers him back to his feet - Supreme is looking for the KO!

Icel is rocked!
Supreme throws a pinpoint strike between Icel's hands that connects right on the jaw and sends Icel crashing to the floor! He's out before he even hits the mat and Supreme scores a great knockout victory!
