Lupaus has chosen Finnish Alphabet & Pronunciation as his entrance music. Varz Defoe has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 2 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lupaus throws an off balance right hand
letting Defoe counter with a right hand.
Defoe uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Lupaus.
Lupaus lands a jab.
Lupaus throws a series of punches but Defoe moves out of range.
Defoe takes an uppercut right on the button but keeps his composure.
Lupaus just misses with a punch to the body.

Defoe gets caught flat footed, as Lupaus shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.
The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup.
Defoe keeping full guard, as Lupaus tries to pass.

Lupaus missing there with some ground and pound from the guard.
Lupaus is working the ground and pound from guard. He might want to try advancing position though to get more of an impact.
Lupaus wants to control from the top but Defoe keeps moving.
Lupaus might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Defoe haven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time.
Lupaus stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Defoe swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Lupaus is in a good position here but he's just trying to control... And he's not even managing to do that successfully.

OK we're going to have a standup here. Nuppu Lupaus hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart.

It looks like Nuppu Lupaus has been cut.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Lupaus is defended easily by Defoe.

and Defoe makes him pay by landing a thudding low kick.

and Defoe counters with a straight punch to the midsection.

Oooooh!!! Defoe has knocked Lupaus down with a huge combo! Defoe steps away and waves a wobbly Lupaus back to his feet! This one might not go much longer!
