The judges for this bout are Summer Carpenter, Eliza Hachem and Winston Howard.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Heaslip shoots in but doesn't get the takedown
and Guitterez counters with a left to the body.
Guitterez tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Heaslip swivels and escapes.
Guitterez gets a clinch.
Guitterez gets double underhooks to prevent a takedown attempt from Heaslip.
Guitterez pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Dominick Guitterez seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Guitterez rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Heaslip moves out of range and avoids them all easily.

A momentary lapse in concentration from Guitterez enables Heaslip to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Guitterez manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.
