Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Jeffson Gracie (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Elvis Bika (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Gracie might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Cliff Richard - Summer Holiday. Bika has chosen My Decision as his entrance music. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 22 - 14 - 1, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Jeffson Gracie!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 25 - 13 - 1, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Elvis Bika!
The judges for this bout are Mauricio Rocha, Daniel Cesar and Alexandre Firmino.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bika scores with the left hand. Gracie knows he should have avoided that one.
Bika bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.
Bika looks to score with a jab to the body but Gracie is just out of range.

Gracie gets caught flat footed, as Bika shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.
We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon.
Bika trying to control the position from guard on top but Gracie is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Bika throwing strikes from guard but Gracie blocks nicely.
Bika in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time.
Bika working some strikes from top position.
Bika distracts Gracie with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm.
Bika throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Gracie works some decent striking defense from the bottom.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Gracie has an omoplata and is looking to use it perhaps as a submission or perhaps to transition. Bika is in a bit of discomfort here, but he's managed to free himself and has dived into side control! That didn't work out too well for Gracie.
Bika wants to control but Gracie is keeping him busy.

Bika fails to land a wild elbow strike.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Gracie is trying to improve his position.
Gracie manages to work his way to half guard, despite Bika's best efforts.
Gracie gets back to full guard.
Bika wants to pass the guard but Gracie is keeping the position.
Bika in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time.
Both fighters really going for it on the ground here!
Bika wants to control from the top but Gracie keeps moving.
Gracie is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.
Gracie working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Bika.
Bika lands a couple of elbows.
Gracie looking for a sweep. Not yet Gracie, not yet.
Bika trying to control but Gracie is working from the bottom.

That's two minutes gone in the round.

Bika wants to control from the top but Gracie keeps moving.
Bika wants to pass the guard but Gracie is keeping the position.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Bika with a flurry of punches that miss.
Bika trying to control but Gracie is working from the bottom.
Gracie manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Bika manages to get himself to full guard.
Bika working a defensive guard here.
Gracie trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.
Gracie postures up.
Gracie stands and throws Bika's legs to the side, diving into side control.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Bika tries to get back to half guard but can't.
Bika is trying to control Gracie's posture but Gracie avoids it.
Bika looking for a sweep but Gracie has passed into full mount! Oh no!
Gracie tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.
Gracie blocks Bika's feeble attempts to strike from the bottom.
Gracie trying to control but Bika is having none of it.
Bika tries to control Gracie's body but Gracie pushes him off. Bika squirms to his side and now Gracie has his back!

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Gracie is looking to control Bika but Bika is wriggling around and keeping busy.
Good control from Gracie.
Bika tries to escape but Gracie has the hooks in and won't let him break free.
Will Gracie go for the finish here or will he try and keep control of the position?
Gracie controlling well, preventing Bika from escaping the position.

Gracie has the hooks in and he's looking for a rear naked choke here. Bika is defending well but eventually Gracie manages to get an arm under the chin and he's locked on the RNC! Bika has no choice but to tap now! He does! This one is all over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:53 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (RNC). Jeffson Gracie!
