Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Bob Swarner (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Chickin Lickin (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Swarner's entrance music is Friends in Low Places . A fine choice. Chickin Lickin has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 7 - 2 - 0, fighting out of New York, Bob Swarner!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 3 - 0, fighting out of New York, Chickin Lickin!
The judges for this bout are Bruno Lombardi, John Roberts and Reed Andrews.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Lickin shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Swarner napping and manages to drive through into side control!
The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.

Lickin is trying to get an arm triangle but Swarner is defending well.
Lickin working the ground and pound.

Lickin tries for a kimura but Swarner is defending well.

Lickin wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Swarner, who protects the arm well.
Lickin is looking to take a break and control but Swarner is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Swarner is trying to control Lickin's posture but Lickin avoids it.

Lickin tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Lickin has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!

That's one minute gone in the round.

Lickin tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though.
Lickin in side control lands a nice looking series of punches and elbows.
Swarner is looking for a sweep.
Lickin wants to control but Swarner is keeping him busy.
Lickin is working Swarner over with some ground and pound from side control.
Swarner knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Lickin on the ground.

Lickin tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Lickin has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!
Lickin has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.

Lickin swings around for an armbar but Swarner sees it coming a mile off and turns beautifully into Lickin's guard.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Lickin wants to stand but Swarner is controlling the position.
Swarner throws an elbow that misses. Lickin uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Swarner's guard. Nice move by Lickin!
Lickin wants to pass the guard but Swarner is keeping the position.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Swarner not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Lickin pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Swarner is keeping the position for now.
Swarner on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Swarner tries to get out of the position.
Swarner wants to sweep here but Lickin controlling him for the moment.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Swarner is trying to control the position from the bottom.

The ref stands the fighters back up because Bob Swarner just wasn't active enough.
Swarner needs to keep his hands up - Lickin had a free shot at his head there.
Bob Swarner is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Swarner throws a head kick that misses.
Swarner displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Lickin.
Swarner misses with a wild combination.
No luck with that takedown attempt from Lickin.
The fighters circling - Swarner throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
Swarner stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Swarner wants it to stay on the feet.
Bob Swarner has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Chickin Lickin.
Swarner throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
No luck with that takedown attempt from Lickin.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Lickin swings for the body but Swarner moves out of range.
Lickin jabbing away but nothing is landing.
Lickin slips a jab and a cross from Swarner.
Swarner throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Swarner scores with a jab.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Swarner ducks under a wild hook from Lickin.
Swarner staying out of range there.
Lickin fails with a takedown attempt.
Swarner misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Lickin shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Swarner defends it nicely.
Lickin looks winded!
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Swarner lands with a kick to the temple. Lickin shrugs as if to say "is that all you've got?"


It looks like Chickin Lickin has been cut.
Lickin just misses with a punch to the body.
Swarner connects with a lovely jab that went straight through the gap between Lickin's hands.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Chickin Lickin dominated that round.
The cut man is working on Chickin Lickin's cut.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.


Lickin misses with a wild combination.
Lickin swings for the body but Swarner moves out of range.
Bob Swarner is winning the standup battle so far.
Both fighters circling a little - Swarner finishes the exchange with a kick to the body.
Lickin takes a nasty kick to the mid section... That should keep him thinking. Does he try and block and risk a head kick landing?
Swarner fails with an attempt to clinch.
Swarner looks to land a combination but Lickin avoids it well.

Swarner closes the distance and clinches.
Lickin tries to circle away but Swarner has him pinned against the cage.
Lickin tries to break the clinch but Swarner is controlling the position.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Swarner pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Swarner is really turning it up, unleashing another crisp combination which drops Lickin like a ton of bricks! The referee dives in to stop the fight, saving Lickin from another fist facial!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:48 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Bob Swarner!
