Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Jeff Stroud (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mike Wyane (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Wyane has chosen headstrong as his entrance music. The key to victory for Jeff Stroud has got to be keeping the fight on the feet.

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Mike Wyane!
The judges for this bout are Jack Bonds, Frank Antenori and Don Winkell.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Stroud checks the leg kick.
Wyane closes the distance and takes a jab right on the nose as he does so.
Wyane on the wrong end of an overhand right that came out of nowhere.

It looks like Mike Wyane has been cut.
Wyane throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Stroud's waist but Stroud gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Wyane off to one side.
Stroud throws a leg kick that misses.
Wyane tries to clinch up
and Stroud counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
Stroud will need to close the distance a bit before he attacks - that leg kick was thrown from too far away.

and Stroud counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Stroud changes levels and scores with a jab to the body.
Wyane misses with a takedown attempt - Stroud sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
Wyane takes a shot to the nose. Hopefully that hasn't broken it.
Stroud circles away from the clinch attempt.

Wyane moves into the clinch successfully.

Wyane breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.

and Stroud counters with a nice uppercut.
Stroud does a little shimmy and throws a leg kick. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Stroud swats away the attempt to clinch by Wyane.
Stroud moving in and out of range nicely, whilst landing the scoring shot.
Wyane looks to clinch
and Stroud counters with a left to the body.
Wyane on the wrong end of an overhand right that came out of nowhere.

That has opened up Mike Wyane's cut even more.
Stroud lands a jab to the nose.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Nice takedown defense from Stroud. No joy for Wyane on that attempt.
Jeff Stroud has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Mike Wyane.
Wyane looks winded!
Stroud punishes Wyane's body with a nice straight punch.
Stroud lands a slapping body shot.
Wyane pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way.
Wyane is trying desperately to land a takedown but Stroud is having absolutely none of it. This is turning into a bit of a nightmare for Wyane.
Stroud throws an overhand right that drops Wyane like a sack of potatoes! Stroud dives in to finish the fight with more strikes and this one is all over!
