Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Davis Marcus (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Musse Hasselvall (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Marcus comes to the cage accompanied by "Princes of the Universe," by Queen. I'm sure you'll be fascinated to know that I was talking to some pointless Z list celebrity before the fight and he thought that Musse Hasselvall was going to win. Let's see if he was right.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Marcus works Hasselvall's body with a nice hook.
Marcus throws out a loose jab but Hasselvall uses good head movement to avoid it.
Hasselvall is looking to chop away at Marcus's legs.
Some wild striking there from Marcus.
Hasselvall stalks Marcus and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Marcus's face. Marcus staggers backwards, shaken.
A punch combination from Hasselvall misses.
Hasselvall misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Marcus misses with a double jab
and Hasselvall counters with a low kick, right behind Marcus 's knee.

Hasselvall swings for the body but Marcus moves out of range.
Hasselvall lands with a head kick! That's gotta hurt.
A slow jab from Marcus misses its intended target.
Hasselvall throws a leg kick but he was too far away and it doesn't land.
Hasselvall has a takedown stuffed.

Marcus gets the takedown into side control.
Hasselvall is moving his hips around well on the bottom and has managed to get back to half guard.

Marcus prevents Hasselvall from improving his position.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Hasselvall tries to roll over but Marcus keeps him under control.

Marcus looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Hasselvall with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.

Marcus lands a heavy elbow.
Hasselvall wants to control but Marcus is having none of it.
Hasselvall slips a leg in and gets back to half guard.
Hasselvall tries to roll over but Marcus keeps him under control.
Hasselvall has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Marcus is working away from the top position though.

Hasselvall wants to improve his position but Marcus is controlling well.

Hasselvall tries to regain full guard. Instead though, Marcus has advanced to mount. Uh oh.
The referee warns Hasselvall that he has to improve his position here as he takes two more clean shots to the head.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Davis Marcus dominated that round.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.

Hasselvall shoots for a double leg takedown but Marcus sprawls well. He's pushed Hasselvall's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Marcus is looking to land body kicks.
Hasselvall looks to score with a jab to the body but Marcus is just out of range.
Hasselvall dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Marcus. That did some damage!
Hasselvall misses with a double jab
and Marcus counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Hasselvall throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.

Hasselvall throws the kick towards the body but Marcus avoids it.
A swing and a miss from Marcus.
Hasselvall throws a leg kick but Marcus sees it coming and moves out of range.
Marcus throws a jab when Hasselvall was well out of range.
Hasselvall ducks under a wild hook from Marcus.
Marcus misses with a combination
and Hasselvall cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
Davis Marcus is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Marcus avoids the head kick by Hasselvall.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Marcus throws and low kick but Hasselvall moves out of range easily.
Hasselvall shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Hasselvall steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Marcus.
Hasselvall throws a nice inside leg kick.
Marcus avoids the head kick by Hasselvall.
Both fighters are looking to counter, which isn't making for the most exciting fight in the world.
Hasselvall misses with a jab, cross combination.
Ouch! a nice leg kick from Marcus, right into the meat.

Marcus jabs at Hasselvall's body.
Hasselvall misses with the combination.
Hasselvall throws a head kick that connects with a bit of head and a bit of hand.
Hasselvall tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Musse Hasselvall seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Hasselvall moves away from the strike by Marcus.

Hasselvall is rocked!

It looks like Musse Hasselvall has been cut.
Hasselvall swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and Marcus counters with a one-two to the body.
Hasselvall is still on wobbly legs! Can Marcus finish him?

Hasselvall blocks a jab.
Marcus looks to land a combination but Hasselvall avoids it well.
Hasselvall throws a left and a right that both miss
and Marcus counters with a huge left! Hasselvall is in big trouble! He's backing up but Marcus isn't giving him chance to recover. Under a barage of punches the ref has to step in to save Hasselvall from any more damage. A dominating finish by Marcus!
