Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Wolfgang Lindemann (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Franz Weimar (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Weimar has chosen Enter The Sandman by Metallica as his entrance music. Franz Weimar has the power to score a knockout today if he connects clean with Wolfgang Lindemann's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 8 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Wolfgang Lindemann!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 7 - 10 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Franz Weimar!
The judges for this bout are Radbod Blank, Wagner Zegers and Patrick Alders.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lindemann shoots in looking for a takedown. Weimar tries to sprawl out of it but Lindemann keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Weimar manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Lindemann closes the distance and clinches up with Weimar, looking for a takedown. Lindemann pushes Weimar against the cage but Weimar circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
A punch lands to the side of Lindemann 's head but he takes it in his stride.
Lindemann misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Wolfgang Lindemann. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Weimar looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into side control! Oh, that's bad for Lindemann!
Weimar tries to cartwheel into mount but he doesn't manage it.

Weimar decides to stand back up. Weimar steps back and let's Lindemann get back to his feet.

Weimar wants to free his trapped foot but Lindemann is holding on for dear life with his legs.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Weimar manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Lindemann on his heels. He'll look to pass Lindemann's guard now, I'm sure.

Lindemann is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Weimar's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Weimar's back!

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Weimar had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Lindemann defends it easily.
Weimar wants to sweep but no luck.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Franz Weimar dominated that round.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!

and Weimar counters with a stiff right hand.
Lindemann tries to clinch there but Weimar circles away.
Weimar closes the distance but Lindemann moves to the side

so Lindemann counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.

Weimar is pressing down on Lindemann's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now Weimar is on top in guard.

Weimar looking to sit in guard and control but Lindemann gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.

Weimar tries to land a sweep but no joy.
Weimar bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Lindemann's guard.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Lindemann gets back to full guard.
Weimar sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Lindemann's guard.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Lindemann won't allow Weimar to pass to mount.

Weimar wants to work for an arm triangle but Lindemann is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.

Franz Weimar decided to go for the less than humble approach in his post fight interview, telling everyone how he is going to conquer the world. The crowd seemed to like it when really that sort of approach could have gone either way.
