Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Frank Morris (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Keron Douglas (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Keron Douglas is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Frank Morris!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 1, fighting out of Las Vegas, Keron Douglas!
The judges for this bout are Tiny Johnson, Chris Downing and Stewart Dunkirk.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Douglas forces Morris back against the cage and clinches.

Morris pulls Douglas into guard.
We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon.
Douglas has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Morris is proving hard to escape from.
Morris will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

Morris has a closed guard, preventing Douglas from standing up.
We're hearing some news coming in from back stage. It's official - Douglas has eaten all the pies!

Douglas gets to his feet - Morris follows without any prompting.

Douglas shoots for a double leg takedown but Morris sprawls well. He's pushed Douglas's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.

Morris has closed the distance and engaged Douglas in a clinch.
Morris has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate.
Morris lands a hook that snaps the head of Douglas backwards.

There's a bit of a scramble here and now Morris is on top in guard.

Douglas uses the cage to get back to his feet.

and Morris counters with a straight punch to the midsection.
The fight stays on the outside here - Douglas looks like he's thinking about clinching though.

Douglas gets in close and instigates a clinch.

Douglas's head jolts backwards as he takes an uppercut right on the button!

Morris pulls guard successfully.
Douglas wants to stand but Morris has a closed guard, so he can't escape.
Morris is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Morris connects with a hook to the side of his opponent's head.

Morris fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Douglas, pushing him back against the cage.

Morris is stalling here. The referee will be looking to step in if he doesn't pick up the pace.

Morris pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.

and Morris counters with a leg kick that reverborates around the arena.
Morris throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Douglas stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.

The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

Morris lands punches inside but they're not really causing much damage.

That was a close round but I would say that Frank Morris will probably get the nod.
The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!

That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.

Well I reckon that's a shut out for Morris, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
