Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between James Lee (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Wandy Claus (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Rumors backstage are that the fighters have been paid to keep it standing but we know that would never happen in MMA!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
5 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, James Lee!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Alexandre Firmino, Emerson Jorge and Felipe Paraventi.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Claus shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Lee as he avoids it easily.
Claus throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Lee's waist but Lee gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Claus off to one side.
Claus shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Lee but Lee pushes him off and we're back to square one.
James Lee has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Wandy Claus.
No luck for Claus with that takedown attempt.
Claus shoots in for a double leg but Lee sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.

That's a knee to de groin and it's over and out! Claus crumples to the ground after an illegal strike from Lee - the referee stops the clock and Claus gets 5 minutes to recover from that one. "I'm sorry" says Lee. Claus manages to get back to his feet and the fight resumes.

That kick from Lee tenderised Claus's leg. Claus is trying to keep his angry face on.
Claus is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Lee's half guard.

A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Claus accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

Claus seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime.

Claus looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Lee with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.

Claus is nestled in close to Lee, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

That's time! Lee's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. This is the final round!
Lee fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Claus has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage.

Lee fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Claus.
Claus throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Lee was covering up waiting for the punch and Claus finishes the takedown easily into guard.
