PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Sam Seed (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Frontalik Wilder (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Seed kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is Drunken Master. Frontalik Wilder will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Sam Seed!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, Frontalik Wilder!
The judges for this bout are Daniel Bishop, Phil Schofield and James Glass.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Wilder shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Seed sprawls well. Seed wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Wilder gets slowly back to his feet.

and Seed counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.

Wilder escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Seed gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Seed thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.

That was a close round but I would say that Sam Seed will probably get the nod.

A momentary lapse in concentration from Wilder enables Seed to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Wilder manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.

Wilder has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Seed is working away from the top position though.

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Sam Seed.
Well Seed has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
